Government Model Sanskriti Primary School, Nada Sahib was observed during the mega monitoring drive. The purpose of this monitoring was to assess overall educational quality, teaching methods and administrative work of the school. Following were the observations:
1. The school started in time. Morning assembly was conducted with prayer , thoughts for the day, Speech by teacher, PT and om chanting.
2. Time table was followed and overall discipline was maintained.
3. Teachers were aware about the Nipun goals and were following the same in their lessons.
4. TLMs TLEs Smart boards were confidently used by the teachers.
5. Work was done as per the teachers guide and trackers were filled as per the abilities of the students.
6. Notebooks / workbooks were checked .
7. Concept building was emphasised while teaching.
8. Students were involved and they were given the chance to share their ideas.
9. Teachers knew the names of all kids and had contact numbers of all the parents
10. They were well aware about the learning outcomes of each child, with their strength as well as weakness
11. Teachers were working really hard. They made a great team together with school head.
12. The school head was very positive minded , open to suggestions and share a good communication with the staff.
Following were the suggestions:
1. Parents whats app group were made by all teachers and the groups are active for sharing information . They need to be used more as educational platform.
2. All teachers had tabs but again ,they were using them for attendance, udise and less for educational material.
3. All classes have groups of students but they are still working on the concept of weak and intelligent ( L0 , L1,L2) and not on learning outcomes .
4. PTMs are organised regularly . They have records for the same but record needs to be maintained more formally and systematically.
5. Staff meeting are organised very frequently ( almost twice a week) but again record for the same needs to be maintained more systematically.
6. Teachers were aware only about the whts app Nipun Haryana channel and Nipun Haryana channel at youtube and didn’t know about the channel on face book and instagram.
